System Overview

Our customer needed an embedded tool for a mobile phone. After careful study of the market, the customer has selected Softage as development partner due to its proven expertise in embedded systems development.

The goal of the project was to implement a system level component compliant to ESMP standard with limited size of code and runtime memory.

Specialists of Softage in a short timeframe developed a solution to satisfy these requirements. The solution consists of core engine and a set of libraries, integrated with microbrowser.

The component is designed as a library, which is controlled by microbrowser. Browser is calling ESMP exported programming interfaces to activate ESMP and control its behaviors. Besides, due to nature of embedded system, some time-consuming functions were designed as asynchronous functions, so that target device is not hanging to wait time-consuming process to complete.

The target platform is Embedded Linux.
