LMM
Our customer, a leading US innovator in delivering cost-effective IT Asset Lifecycle Management solutions, needed a Web-based platform designed to enable corporate users to automatically obtain a picture of their Microsoft software usage compared with Microsoft's understanding of their license position.
Solution
Softage quickly proposed a Java specialist under the ODC cooperation model. After a short learning period, the Softage specialist seamlessly complemented the customer's development team.
System overview
LMM web interface is built on GXT and uses various features from programming architecture to user interface widgets. Content loads from the server asynchronously using Ajax, depending on the role of the user logged in.
To add a new user the required fields must be filled in, then after clicking on Save button, an expanded section in the tree is reloaded immediately - it asynchronously loads content from the server.
There are several rows and paging with various filters for them. After selecting filters, the content immediately reloads, applying the filters.
Tools and technologies:
Technologies: Tomcat 6.x, MySQL 5.x, JDK 1.5, Spring Framework 2.5, GXT 1.2 (GWT extension), GWT 1.5
Testimonial
Softage has done a first class job so far on our License Manager project. We've introduced new technology that they embraced rapidly and, as usual with Softage, made some great recommendations on how to improve the project. They strictly enforced the specification detail at the beginning of the project which has made the latter stages much easier to complete
